You'll enjoy this Black Hills cabin rental, its peaceful location and its great views! It's a wonderful place to relax after playing in the Black Hills all day. The 3-level vacation home, sits up and looks out over the development for nice privacy. The location is fabulous - close to the ski slopes, snowmobile trails, hiking trails and scenic drives - just 7 miles southwest of Historic Deadwood, and a beautiful drive to Sturgis!
The main floor has a light, open floor plan with the kitchen, dining and living room, walk-out to the large deck with BBQ Grill and seating. There is a main floor bedroom with King size bed and a main floor bath. The living room has a gas fireplace and large flat screen TV with Cable TV.
The upstairs loft is a spacious bedroom with queen size bed.
The lower level family room has a large sectional sofa, flat screen TV and a wet bar and table area for playing cards or games. There are 2 bedrooms in the lower level - one with a queen bed and a set of twin bunks and the other with a queen bed. Both bedrooms have TV's. There is also a full bath and a walkout to the covered patio and private hot tub.
The cabin features a full kitchen, washer & dryer, gas BBQ Grill, high speed internet and cable TV, DVD player and 2 gas fireplaces. *Coming spring 2021 - an outdoor fireplace!

The meeting room is available for rent for family gatherings.
The Gilded Mountain location is driving distance to so many wonderful sites and activities in the Black Hills. Golf Courses - Lead Country Club, Tomahawk Golf Club, Elkhorn Ridge Golf Course and Boulder Canyon Golf Course are all within 25 minutes of the cabin. Looking for some lake time? Great weekend stay in the Black hills. Fall colors were spectacular. Close to Deadwood, Custer state park, Spearfish canyon. Home was beautiful and clean. Negotiating the driveway could be a challenge if youve got a low profile vehicle. Loved our stay, thank you so much. Dave & Tina.

This place was spot on what we were looking for. The setting is beautiful, the house is beautiful, and the location allows for tons of things to keep you entertained. We had a little issue with the code to get the lock box open, but were immediately contacted and assisted. I read several reviews that said that the beds were really uncomfortable. My husband and I never sleep well away from home, regardless of comfort so it wasnt a factor. But we both slept like babies. It was just the two of us, and we slept in the bedroom on the main floor. I cant review any of the other beds, but I can tell you that the queen on the main level is very very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. We are coffee snobs, and brought our own press, but there is a keurig and drip maker. The 2 deciding factors for choosing this house was first it is pet friendly. We took our 2 doggos with us. The second was the hot tub. The hot tub was amazing. Very clean, and functional. Loved it. The landscape is rough. We loved it and hope they never change it. I read other reviews that commented on difficulty getting to the house in the winter. I can totally see that would be a problem. You may want to take that into account if planning a winter trip. All in all, we want to come back. Both of us reallly loved the place.

We had so much fun in Deadwood. And we loved our cabin experience. The clubhouse pool was warm and inviting and we made use of the steam room card table and pool table too. It was wonderful that our loveable pup was welcome anywhere we went.

We had such a great stay at Captain Jak's! Our extended family stayed there for Thanksgiving, and we were happy with our choice! It's nice and cozy during winter, but they aren't kidding about needing 4-wheel in winter. It's a steep driveway! The property was clean, well-equipped, and had great wifi signal.

Beautiful cabin! We were greeted by many wildlife and our AWD came in handy as the cabins are literally built into the mountains and there are lots and lots of stairs. But we had a tremendous time spending time away from home with the family.
